Welcome Back
The only interaction more awkward than an introduction is the re-introduction. That’s me right now.
I began Substack with the best of intentions. Then work—and not work—happened. It became easier not to write than it did to write. Hence, I’m here writing now.
Hello. My name is Christina.
(Hi Christina.)
Normally, I sprint into the New Year with an army of magazines, ready to collage a vision board. I didn’t do that this year, despite the free time. Last year still weighs on my body—a collection of worn-down joints and broken promises written in code. While 2025 held both highs and lows, I’ve felt disenchanted for many reasons. Some reasonable. Others questionable.
The next entry will go into more detail, but my return to Substack has a purpose. I want to document my connection to dance and writing in their many forms—one of them being the anti–brain rot challenge. This might be successful. It might not be. But this space will be intentional, and it will be mine.
I’m so glad you’re here.
